INTERNATIONAL IMMERSION TOUR 2025 – MALAYSIA

At MKES-IMSR, we believe that in today’s globalized world, the ability to understand diverse cultures, international business environments, and global practices is vital for shaping well-rounded management professionals. Our international immersion programs are designed to broaden our PGDM students’ perspectives, enhance their cross-cultural competencies, and foster global business acumen. Such experiences not only complement academic learning but also prepare students to lead effectively in a dynamic and interconnected global marketplace.

The International Immersion for the 2025–27 PGDM batch was organized in Malaysia from 5th to 8th October 2025. The students departed from Mumbai on 4th October 2025 for the educational and cultural tour.

The city tour included visits to the King’s Palace and the National Museum, after which they were transferred to their hotel for check-in. Later, they visited the iconic Petronas Twin Towers, one of Malaysia’s most celebrated landmarks. These visits offered the students a glimpse into Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage, architectural excellence, and modern urban development.

Day 2: Academic and Corporate Exposure

The second day focused on academic and corporate learning experiences. The students visited UCSI University, one of Malaysia’s leading private universities, where they attended an engaging session on Entrepreneurship delivered by Dr. Eva, Deputy Dean.

Later in the day, the group visited the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), where they learned about the palm oil industry’s significance to Malaysia’s economy, its sustainability practices, and ongoing research initiatives. The day concluded with leisure time at Berjaya Times Square, one of the largest shopping and entertainment complexes in Kuala Lumpur.

Day 3: Cultural Exploration

On the third day, the students explored Malaysia’s cultural and natural beauty. They visited the Batu Caves, a renowned Hindu temple complex and iconic limestone hill featuring magnificent cave shrines. The visit was followed by an excursion to the Genting Highlands, a hill resort known for its scenic beauty, theme park, and cable car rides, offering students a blend of recreation and exploration amidst breathtaking landscapes.

Day 4: Industrial Visit and Return

The final day included a visit to the Ajinomoto Malaysia Berhad facility, where students gained insights into the company’s manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and global operations in the food and flavor industry.
